Michael Tran/FilmMagicJanet Jackson is refuting rumors that she’s battling cancer.

On Wednesday, the singer — who postponed her Unbreakable tour late last month, saying she needed surgery — tweeted a clip of her song “The Great Forever.” The clip ends with a written statement in which she addresses recent rumors that she has throat cancer.

Janet said, “Remember…believe it when you hear it from my lips. The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love.”

In announcing her tour postponement on Facebook on December 24, Janet wrote, “I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon….Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time.”

She’s due to launch her European tour in late March.
