Following his Oscar-winning performance in the 2004 biopic of Ray Charles, Jamie Foxx is reportedly being considered to portray the late Martin Luther King Jr., according to Deadline.com.
The long-awaited film, which has been in development since 2009, will follow the civil rights leader from his rise in the civil rights movement to his assassination in 1968.
The King family will executive produce the highly anticipated project which will also include Steven Spielberg as one of the producers while Oliver Stone is in talks to direct. If all goes as planned, it would mark the second time Stone and Foxx worked together after the 1999 football drama, Any Given Sunday.
