So So Def RecordingsAfter releasing one album with Slip-N-Slide Records in 2009, Jagged Edge is readying a comeback with their original record label.

According to Jermaine Dupri‘s Instagram page, the veteran R&B group has announced plans to release the sequel to 2000’s double platinum-album, J.E. Heartbreak, via a new deal with BMG Primary Wave Artists Services and So So Def Recordings. The set is titled  J.E. Heartbreak Too.

“Making a sequel to a classic album is difficult. We don’t want to stray from the blueprint of the first album. It’s definitely a challenge, but the fans won’t be disappointed,” says JD, who will serve as the executive producer of the album.

Bryan Michael Cox has co-written and produced the first single “Hope,” which debuts on May 30. The band’s eighth studio album will arrive this fall.
