Image Courtesy Roc NationJ. Cole has delivered a powerful video for “G.O.M.D,” the latest single from his album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive.
In the cinematic clip, the rapper takes on the role of a rebellious house slave who plots an attack against the plantation owners, alongside other field slaves.
“This sh** is retarded/Why every rich black n***a gotta be famous/Why every broke black n***a gotta be brainless/That’s a stereotype,” Cole raps as the slaves hold their masters at gunpoint and later celebrate their freedom with a bonfire.
The rapper is currently traveling on his Forest Hills Drive Tour, which wraps on April 7. He will kick off an international run with Jhené Aiko and Pusha T later this summer.
