‘I’m Not Playing’: Chicago Mayor Threatens Citations And Arrests For People Ignoring Stay-At-Home Orders

by

Chicago’s Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot threatened citations and arrests for those who failed to comply with stay-at-home orders and held parties instead. “I’m not playing. Stay home (your own home). Save lives,” Lightfoot tweeted along with a video of her statement Saturday. Meaning that visiting your friends and family is prohibited and also having house parties. “Don’t make us treat you like a criminal,” Lightfoot continued. “But if you act like a criminal and you violate the law and you refuse to do what is necessary to save lives in the city the middle of a pandemic, we will take you to jail. Period.”

Do you think people should be arrested for visiting friends/family or having a house party?
