The ATL crooner was the latest addition to Drake‘s OVO roster, signed in September 2014 after teaming up with Drizzy for his hit song, “Club Goin Up On A Tuesday” from his 2014 self-titled debut EP.
In a March 2015 interview with The Fader, iLoveMakonnen explained his relationship with OVO saying, “It’s cool, they put out my music and stuff and we just keep it moving. Let them tell you their relationship with Makonnen. I’m just an artist, being an artist, and there’s only so much that I can do.”
Tuesday the artist sent out a new post highlighting an upcoming tour and the joint collaboration “Can’t Let It Go” with rapper, Lil B.
THANK U EVERYONE AND U ARE ALL WELCOME! THANK YOU BASED GOD!,” wrote Makonnen on this SoundCloud account.
“YOU ARE THE LEGEND I ASPIRE TO BE! THANK U FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR HUMANITY! U ARE A TRUE SUPERSTAR IN HUMAN FORM SO GLAD TO CALL YOU MY FRIEND/BROTHER,/MENTOR,/INSPIRATION TO US ALL!!!!! SO PROUD TO SHARE THIS TRACK WITH THE INTERNET!” Makonnen added.
