Iggy Azalea has secured her first #1 record on Billboard Hot 100 chart with her song “Fancy” featuring Charli XCX.
According to the publication, the rapper ended the three week reign of John Legend‘s hit song “All of Me.” She accomplished the feat just a week after her single reached platinum status for selling more than one million copies.
Azalea also maintains the #2 spot with her feature on Ariana Grande’s “Problem.” In doing so, she joins the Beatles as the only artists to simultaneously have songs in the top two slots in the same week with their first two Hot 100 hits.
The rapper expressed her excitement via Twitter. “Well I’m very pleased, last year seemed impossible to convince anyone in the music business I could break into the top 100. Haha,” she wrote. “So let this serve as proof anything is possible & I hope we see more female rappers new and established in the charts. Dope stuff, thanks!”
