Frazer Harrison/Getty Images via ABCIggy Azalea recorded the upcoming single “Pretty Girls” with Britney Spears, and now the rapper reveals she’s been “harassing” Britney for input as she prepares to co-directing the music video for the song.
“Not only getting to work with [Britney] and write the song, but being able to have something to do with the visual and all that has been great,” she tells Access Hollywood. “It’s just an honor that she would even let me do that for her, so I’m super excited.”
Iggy says she and Britney have been brainstorming concepts. “I’ve got her number, so I’ve been harassing her… she’s added some of her own ideas as well, which is really cool and I think it will be authentic to her still and I’m excited to see what people think about it,” she says of the video.
This won’t be the first time Iggy has stepped behind the camera. She also directed her last two videos, for “Trouble” and “Black Widow.” But she says she’s more nervous this time around because it’s her first time directing someone else’s video. “I want to do her justice!” Iggy says.
“Pretty Girls” arrives May 5 and will be featured on Britney’s next album.
