Last July, it was announced that Queensbridge, New York rapper Nas had been asked to lead a fellowship at the oldest university on U.S. soil. The “Nasir Jones Hip-Hop Fellowship” at Harvard University would be established to fund scholars and artists who demonstrate exceptional, productive scholarship and creative ability in the arts as they relate to Hip Hop.
