The Game Working on Joint Album with Ed Sheeran

by

InterscopeThe Game has announced that he has a new music project on the way. The rapper recently spoke with MTV News about recording a joint album with British singer Ed Sheeran.

“I’m working on a joint album with Ed Sheeran that we trying to drop probably end of the year, beginning of 2015,” he told MTV. “That is gonna be crazy.”

So how did this seemingly random collaboration come together? Game explains, “It happened with a tweet. He tweeted something about Jesus Piece, I responded, we exchanged numbers on the DM, and then we got in the studio.”

He continues, “We were just planning to record one song; we ended up doing like seven. Ed came up with the idea to start working on a joint album, and we started doing it.”

Sheeran, who gained pop success in the U.S. with his debut album + (plus) and single “The A Team,” is a “genius,” Game says. “The songs that we got, they’re real songs. And I can’t wait for people to hear ’em.”

In related news, Game is readying a compilation album of work from his Blood Money Entertainment artists to be released through eOne and which will feature production from DJ Mustard.
