Gilbert Carrasquillo/FilmMagicFoxy Brown has always repped Brooklyn, so it should come as no real surprise that the rapper was was honored with the key to her hometown during the third annual Leaders of Tomorrow Brooklyn Honors event.
The rapper took to social media to express her gratitude. “Wow!!!!!!!! Only ONE Chick Alone Got The ‘KEY’ To Her HOME #BROOKLYN!!!!!! It’s OFFICIAL! BK Is #MINE,” she wrote on Instagram earlier this week.
Foxy was joined by fellow entertainers Diggy Simmons and Joey Bada$$, who were recognized as “Leaders of Tomorrow” during the ceremony.
Foxy’s key to the city comes just a month after Drake received his honorary key for his hometown of Toronto and Kendrick Lamar was handed the key to Compton.
