by

Mychal Watts/WireImageLike her fans, Foxy Brown wants answers. The rapper was noticeably absent from this Monday’sVH1 Hip Hop Honors televised live event, and believes she should have been included.

Brown took to her Instagram to file her grievances, with a combined photo of herself and video of singer-songwriter Lauryn Hill speaking at a past event. Hill was also missing from the night’s show.

“This Is ONLY Being Granted A ‘CAPTION’ Due To The Overwhelming Outcry From Fans Everywhere! I Awake This Morning, To Our Fans Across The World’s TRENDING Outrage At (Reality Show Network) @VH1’s Non-Inclusion Of LAURYN HILL & FOXY BROWN,” she writes.

“Anyone Recognized, Whether The Contribution Big or Small We Applaud,” FOxy continues.  “Personally, I’d Prefer Being Held To A Much Higher Standard In My Walk, But Fans Went Ballistic; The PEOPLE Have Spoken!”

Many of Brown’s dedicated fans were in shock that the rapper didn’t attend this year’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors special, given that Brown is known as one of the most relevant female rappers to emerge from the ’90s. She’s also known for her feuds with a slew of fellow rap artists, such as Lil’ KimQueen LatifahKuruptEveRemy Ma and Ja Rule.
