Flavor Flav has accepted a plea deal in connection with a domestic violence case in Las Vegas involving his girlfriend’s teenage son.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, the rapper pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor counts of attempted battery that could have caused substantial injury and battery constituting domestic violence. He had been facing felony charges in connection with the October 2012 incident.
Flav, whose birth name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., was sentenced to a year of informal probation, as well as a dozen class sessions of domestic violence prevention with his girlfriend’s son.
Flav had been accused of threatening the 17-year-old with two knives after the rapper got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend, Elizabeth Trujillo, at their Las Vegas home.
