Fetty Wap has reached a new milestone with his self-titled debut album.
The rapper’s Fetty Wap has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, just five months since its release September 25, 2015. The certification traditionally meant an album sold one million copies, but Fetty achieved the certification thanks to the RIAA’s new rule, announced last month, that on-demand audio and video streams track sale equivalents will be factored in gold & platinum certifications.
Fetty Wap includes his smash singles “Trap Queen,” “My Way” and “679”, all three of which topped the Billboard rap charts.
