Following several false starts, Tyga planned an unexpected rollout for his latest album, Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.
The rapper took to Twitter to explain the reason why he released the project as a free album stream last week.
“Didn’t plan on selling on selling it Kuz of label problems,” he writes. “It’s a dope album. Got a lot of great feedback and millions of streams.” He adds, “No physical copies either. All independent.”
While his disputes with his Cash Money label have yet to be settled, Tyga has other things to focus on like his upcoming reality series, Kingin’ with Tyga on MTV, which premieres July 24.
