The last album by a male artist to spend as many weeks on top of the chart was Eminem‘s The Marshal Mathers LP, which spent eight straight weeks at number one in 2000.
The last album to spend more weeks at number one was Adele‘s 25, which spent 10 weeks at the top, though not all consecutive. The most recent album to spend eight straight weeks at the top was the Frozen soundtrack in 2014.
