Eric McCandless/CBSDrake isn’t worried about Meek Mill. During Saturday’s Landmark Music Festival in Washington, D.C., the rapper brushed off any concerns about his rap nemesis.
Fan footage captured the crowd chanting “F*** Meek Mill,” which prompted Drake to reply, “Don’t worry, he’s dead already.” Dake then resumed his set and later performed his diss track aimed at Meek, “Back to Back.”
Drizzy’s nonchalant response comes just a few days after discussing Meek’s lack of strategy at the height of their rap beef. “Nobody told you that this was a bad idea, to engage in this and not have something?” Drake said in an interview with The FADER. “It was weighing heavy on me. I didn’t get it. I didn’t get how there was no strategy on the opposite end. I just didn’t understand. I didn’t understand it because that’s just not how we operate.”
