Drake won’t take stage for Music’s Biggest Night after all. Following a Grammy commercial during the Super Bowl that mentioned Drizzy, the rapper confirms that he’s not performing at this year’s Grammys.
“I am not performing at the Grammy Awards…but hey it’s the thought that counts,” tweeted the rapper, who many assumed would appear alongside Rihanna for their duet “Work.”
The ad also mentions other artists who have not been announced as performers including Ice Cube, Nicki Minaj, Lionel Richie, Ariana Grande and more. However, all of the aforementioned acts are said to be making make appearances, just not necessarily give performances.
Meanwhile, Adele, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Robin Thicke, Andra Day, Gary Clark Jr., Pitbull, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, are confirmed to perform at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 15.
