Earlier this month, Future conducted a controversial interview with Billboard, where he negatively compared his upcoming Honest album to Drake‘s Nothing Was the Same, commenting that the Toronto rapper’s project “is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do.” Whether or not those comments — which Future insisted were misquoted — had anything to do with it, Drizzy has reportedly dropped the rapper from his 39-city Would You Like A Tour? outing.
According to the New York Post‘s Page Six, Drake wanted Future removed from the roster, which also includes Miguel. “He told his agent either Future gets fired, or he’ll fire him,” a source revealed.
After Future was fired, there were reportedly negotiations to get him back on the bill. However, Future is said to have responded by filing a $1.5 million lawsuit this week against Drake, since he was expected to earn about $40,000 per show on the tour.
