Credit: Noel Vasquez/GC ImagesMissing the chance of a lifetime to pose next to someone famous can be devastating, but fortunately for Drake, the rapper has come full-circle after recently hanging with the one and only Denzel Washington.
The rapper took to his Instagram to detail how he once thought he blew the chance to pose with the Oscar Award-winning actor, whom he met back in 2005. “I went to see Denzel Washington in Julius Caesar years ago in NYC with my best friend Mazin. After the play was done Denzel was standing outside and my boy asked him for a pic and of course he said yes. I was too nervous to ask him for another one so I walked away,” wrote Drake, who had not even released a music project at the time. “I regretted that decision for years.”
Drizzy continues: “I used to have to look at my boys epic pic and I was convinced I missed the chance to freeze a moment with one of the biggest inspirations in my life.”
However, Drake got a second shot a decade later after attending a Los Angeles Lakers game Wednesday night, alongside Tyrese and Cedric the Entertainer. “Now its the end of 2015 and here is a picture of me and Tyrese trying to help Denzel work his phone,” Drake adds. “Life is a wonderful thing when you are living right. Grateful for this moment.”
While fans wait for Drake’s upcoming album, Views from the 6, the rapper hints: “Been laughing a lot lately. Jokes on you in 2016.”
