Drake has released new music from his upcoming album, Nothing Was the Same, in the form of a mellow track called “Wu-Tang Forever.”
The Canadian rapper’s dark track borrows a line from Raekwon‘s verse from “It’s Yourz,” which appeared on the Wu-Tang Clan‘s second album, Wu-Tang Forever, a double-disc released in 1997.
“I don’t know what’s getting in to me /I just like the rush when you see your enemy / Somewhere in the club and you realize he just not in a position to reciprocate your energy / You ain’t ever worried ’cause he’s not who he pretend to be,” Drake spits on the cut lifted from his third studio effort.
Boasting contributions from Jay-Z and Jhené Aiko, Nothing Was the Same arrives in stores on September 24.
