Although Drake didn’t explain the title’s meaning, many believe the disc will serve as a nod to his hometown of Toronto, similar to Jennifer Lopez’s 1999 album, On the 6, which represented her Bronx roots.

The album title announcement comes just before Drake gears up for several major events. After he hosts The ESPYs on ESPN Wednesday, July 16, his OVO Sound record label will release its first two projects — Majid Jordan’s EP Place Like This, and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s sophomore effort, PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO, both of which arrives July 29.

Before summer ends, you’ll also get to see Drake live in concert.  The rapper will kick off his annual OVOFest at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, which runs from August 3 to August 4.  Soon after, he’ll join Lil Wayne for their 31-city co-headlining tour, beginning August 8 at New York’s Darien Lake Performing Arts Center.
