Kid Cudi has scored his first sneaker line. The rapper has signed a partnership with Italian shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti.
According to Nice Kicks, the rapper’s red Nappa leather high-tops will be the first shoe in the the brand’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
The unusual padded look to the shoe has garnered mixed reactions on Twitter. One tweeter commented, “This looks like a life-saving flotation device,” while another wasn’t surprised by the rapper’s eclectic taste, adding, “That’s what I would expect honestly.”
The release date and price for Cudi’s futuristic shoe have yet to be announced.
Cudi is the latest rapper to ink a sneaker deal — Kanye West has teamed with Adidas and Wiz Khalifa has partnered with Converse.
