Kid Cudi made a major announcement during the Dallas stop of his ongoing Cud Life tour on Wednesday night. The rapper revealed to a packed crowd that he intends to drop a new EP prior to the release of his next album, Man on the Moon 3.
Fan-recorded footage surfaced online of the rapper telling the audience, “When I give you the release date, it will be 25 hours before its released. You won’t know when its going to happen, but its definitely going to happen within the next three months.“
Since Man on the Moon 3 won’t arrive until 2015, Cudi adds, “I couldn’t not give you any new music, right? I mean, what kind of guy would I be?”
“I had to say something. I’ve been working on this for a long time, I wanted to scream it from a mountain top, but I didn’t have a mountain, I just have a stage,” he says.
The upcoming EP is currently untitled and will include production from Dot Da Genius as well as guest verses from King Chip.
