LL Cool J and N.W.A. are among the nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2014.
The museum on Wednesday morning announced 16 nominees in all, including LL and N.W.A., who return to the ballot.
The other nominees are Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, YES, Hall and Oates, The Replacements, The Zombies, Linda Ronstadt, KISS, Deep Purple, Cat Stevens, Chic, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, The Meters and guitarist Link Wray.
You can support your favorites by logging on to RockHall.com and voting in a fan poll. The top five artists in the poll will make up a “fans’ ballot” that will be counted with the other ballots to determine the inductees.
The class of 2014 will be announced in December. The induction ceremony will be held in New York next April.
This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held in Los Angeles and honored Heart, Rush, late disco queen Donna Summer, singer/songwriter Randy Newman, influential rap act Public Enemy and blues great Albert King.
