This week saw the release of Common‘s tenth studio album, Nobody’s Smiling, which is projected to have a modest sales start.
According to Hits Daily Double, the rapper’s album is estimated to sell between 18,000 to 21,000 copies in its opening week. His last offering, 2011’s The Dreamer/The Believer, opened at number eighteen on the Billboard 200 chart, with 69,000 copies sold.
Still, it seems the rap veteran is just pleased that fans can finally purchase his long-awaited set. “I’m happy to share this with y’all!” he tweeted.
Nobody’s Smiling boasts guest features from Jhené Aiko, Cocaine 80s, Elijah Blake and Vince Staples as well as production from No I.D.
The official sales tally will be released on Wednesday.
