Common and Musiq Soulchild will take part in the 10th annual DC Loves Dilla Tribute Fundraiser in honor of J Dilla, this week at Washington, D.C.’s Howard Theater.
Organizers have revealed the two-day celebration kicks off Thursday, July 9 with a Beat Sessions panel at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater. Combat Jack will moderate the event, featuring Slum Village, 9th Wonder, DJ Spinna and more.
The event will raise money for lupus initiatives and youth programs.
The late J Dilla passed from lupus complications in 2006.
