A very pregnant Ciara will soon welcome her first child with her fiance, Future. To get prepared, the singer has revealed that she’s been getting parenting advice from her best friend, Kim Kardashian, who welcomed her first child with Kanye West in June 2013.
“We [go] over really personal stuff from the woman’s side of things. We’ve had great conversations and it’s been really cool,” Ciara told Us Weekly.
So what to do the pair talk about specifically? “I’m obsessed with the Orbit stroller [Kim has] and she showed me how it works — the simplest things are so fun to you as a mom,” Ciara says.
As far as gearing up to become a mom, the singer reveals that it’s not as scary as she initially thought it would be. “I didn’t even know what to expect, but it’s been a very easy process. And it’s been so much fun,” Ciara shared. “Honestly, it’s been the coolest experience in my life. Being able to know that I can do that is such a blessing. I’m literally obsessed with kids, so I’m excited about being able to have my own to obsess over.”
While she’s announced that she’s having a boy, the singer has decided to keep her son’s name private. “I went with what felt right in my soul and my gut. I didn’t second guess it,” she says.
Ciara also shared that she’s looking forward to planning her wedding. “I have my mind running on the wedding, but I’m looking forward to when I don’t have this big bump so I can start trying on dresses,” she says.
The publication reports that Ciara is due on Mother’s Day.
