Ciara did not let her pregnancy prevent her performance at the Official Grammy After-Party at the L.A. Convention Center on Sunday. The mom-to-be danced to her earlier hit songs with her baby bump on display and she even debuted a brand new ballad called “Anytime.”
“As you may know, I’m working on my new album now and I’ve got some really cool stuff going on,” CiCi told the crowd. “Most importantly, I say all that to say that it’s about my fans, the reason why I’m here today and why I still stand is because of my fans.”
“Baby, I’ll go to war for you in this life / Baby, I’ll give the stars to you, I’ll be there anytime,” she coos on the mid-tempo tune, which includes contributions from her fiancé, Future, who can be heard on the hook.
Before her performance, CiCi praised her husband-to-be. “He’s the best, literally like my best friend and so sweet,” she said in an interview with E! News. “He’s been the best support I could have. He’s been to every doctor visit with me, so it’s been really cool.”
