Ciara Calls Out US Weekly Mag For Manipulating Her Words

by

Image Courtesy Epic RecordsShortly after US Weekly claimed that Ciara had called off her engagement to Future, it ran an article whose headline made it sound as though she was commenting on what her life has been like since splitting with the father of her three-month-old son.  Ciara has now taken to Twitter to slam the magazine by misleading readers and being “thirsty.”

“@usweekly I did not do this interview with you! This is a lie, and tasteless! Must you be that thirsty to create a story?! Unbelievable!” she tweeted.

The singer did do a round of interviews to promote her upcoming episode on MTV’s House of Style, but she accused the mag of manipulating her words.

“Be CLEAR . I interviewed with your Beauty Editor about Degree & Mtv HOS. U manipulated my words & took the interview for sensation.” she tweeted.

US Weekly’s article does say in the first paragraph that she did the interview prior to the publication’s report that she and Future had split.  On Twitter, Ciara doesn’t address that report.   Ciara’s rep told ABC News Radio “no comment.”

Prior to the break-up speculation, she told E News! that the pair have “crazy schedules” but they “work it out.”
