Chris Brown‘s on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran is upset. Shortly after VH1 posted a photo of her alongside Lil’ Kim and Joseline Hernandez that was captioned “Hip Hop’s Most Notorious Side Chicks,” the model vented her frustration in a lengthy Instagram post.
“When no one understands you.. they misinterpret you.. judge you.. label you.. this is embarrassing to see, but I can do nothing but laugh because at the end of the day you can say whatever you want about me.. Label me however you please,” she wrote in the caption.
She continues, “Your words do not define who I am. I’m happy with myself.. Flaws..wrong choices..mistakes and all and that’s all that matters. I usually don’t speak up on s**t like this but whatever. I have family that has to see s**t like this. I don’t even think we’re all on the same page as to what a ‘side chick’ really is.. Either way [peace sign emoji].”
Many would agree that Tran is more than a “side chick,” especially after Brown shouted out to Karrueche in a message to his fans from prison. “The video just came out so I hope ya’ll enjoyed that. And most importantly, K, Karrueche, I love you,” he said over the phone last month.
Brown is currently serving the remainder of his jail sentence in Los Angeles for violating his probation in his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.
