RCA RecordsFollowing the recent tragic deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, Chris Brown has released two new tracks to address the grieving and outraged.
The song, “A Lot of Love,” is an upbeat song with lyrics of hope. “It feels like a burden’s on your shoulders. Don’t let it get you down,” the song starts.
“My Friend” is a ballad that will surely leave listeners to reflect on their own lives and the lives of others.
“What was I thinking. Packing up and leaving. Now that you’re wiser, I’m ashamed, yeah, yeah,” he croons.
Brown announced his release of “My Friend” on his Instagram account, with the following caption:
“This song I release for free for anybody dealing with injustice or struggle in their lives,” he writes. He also includes a SoundCloud link to the track.
