ABC/Randy HolmesStep into Mariah’s World. E! has released the first teaser trailer for Mariah’s upcoming eight-part docuseries.
“I’m not Cinderella. My life has not been a fairytale,” she’s heard saying off-camera in the teaser. “Forget the image. Forget the rumors. I owe this to the fans.”
The clip shows behind-the-scenes footage of Mariah’s tour preparations, as well as planning for her wedding to billionaire James Packer — which she calls “the most important event that has ever happened.”
At one point, Mariah is seen wearing sunglasses indoors and explains it’s because she has a rule that she will not be seen in fluorescent lighting without sunglasses. Yet still, Mariah says she’s “like anybody else” underneath it all.
Mariah’s World premieres later this year.
