Michael Becker/FoxLast year, we learned that Kanye West surprised the judges when he showed up to audition for the final season of American Idol. Now, we get to see the rapper’s surprise appearance in its entirety, which the show has posted to YouTube.
Before showing off his talent, Kanye tells the judges that he is a producer with musical aspirations. “I always wanted to rap but nobody believed in me,” Ye says before performing a verse from his hit song “Goldigger” with Jamie Foxx — and yes, he name dropped Jennifer Lopez.
Meanwhile, his wife Kim Kardashian, who was pregnant at the time, waited outside and told Ryan Seacrest: “I’m not nervous ’cause I do really believe in him.”
Naturally, Kanye was given the coveted golden ticket to Hollywood.
