Ray J Charged with 10 Crimes over Beverly Hills Incident

by

Koch RecordsRay J reportedly has been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney with 10 crimes in connection with an alcohol-fueled incident in Beverly Hills last May, according to TMZ.

Among the crimes the 33-year-old has been charged with is sexual battery, even though police say no such crime was committed.

Ray J was at a bar in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel when he allegedly got rowdy and brushed up against a woman’s rear end before he was ordered to leave. Cops told the gossip website at the time that they didn’t consider the contact a sexual battery because it was “incidental” and not intentional.

After leaving the bar, Ray J, whose birth name is William Ray Norwood Jr., was arrested. He allegedly kicked out the window of a cop car and spit on an officer.  Ray J later told TMZ he kicked out the cruiser window because he was claustrophobic.

In addition to the misdemeanor battery charge, Ray J was charged with four counts of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery, and two counts of vandalism — also misdemeanors.
