Deadline reports that Rhyon Nicole Brown from the Lincoln Heights TV series will portray the title role in the Lifetime movie, The Michel’le Story. R. Marcos Taylor, who played Knight in Straight Outta Compton, will appear again as the Death Row CEO. Curtis Hamilton will star as Dre. Production will begin next month.
Michel’le was discovered as a teenager by Eazy-E from N.W.A. She released her self-titled debut album in 1998 on Ruthless Records featuring her top ten single, “”No More Lies.” Her second and latest album, Hung Jury, was released on Death Row Records in 1998.
