Broadway Musical Inspired by Tupac’s Music Closing This Weekend

by

Holler if Ya Hear MeThe Broadway musical inspired by Tupac Shakur‘s music is closing after fewer than two months of performances.

In a statement obtained by The New York Times, producer Eric L. Gold says Holler if Ya Hear Me is closing Sunday due to the “financial burdens of Broadway.”

Holler if Ya Hear Me, which opened in mid-June at the Palace Theatre, has struggled to draw a sizable audience. Only 45 percent of seats were filled for last week’s performances.
