British Man Jailed for Repeatedly Claiming To Be Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj is famous for her fake British accent, but it appears a British man has gotten into legal trouble for impersonating the rapper and repeatedly calling emergency phone services.

According to the NY Daily News, 24 year-old Stephen Brown has been jailed for four months for breaching an Anti-Social Behaviour Order, which banned him from calling the emergency phone system. Aside from claiming to be Minaj, Brown also called to report that two men were threatening him and later requested police assistance for a ghost in his house.

The judge sentenced Brown to four months in jail calling him a “nuisance” but recognizing that he needs help after his defense attorney described him as a “chronic alcoholic.” Brown is still banned from making any more emergency calls unless he is in an actual emergency.
