Many were shocked when CSI: Cyber actor Shad “Bow Wow” Moss proposed to Erica Mena after less than six months of dating. Bow Wow recently told People magazine exactly what attracted him to the feisty reality star.
“I’ve known Erica for a long, long time,” the rapper said. “We noticed we had a lot in common and just took it day by day. You know how it goes, you text one day, then start texting every day.”
“She’s very smart, silly, knows how to hustle. And she’s electrifying. Anytime you have all of that in a woman, what more could you want?” Bow Wow added.
Bow Wow also said he was ready to stop being a bachelor. “The player life is cool, but I don’t want it to define me,” he explained. “I’ve done it all, but being on the road, the groupies, you get burnt out.”
People magazine published the couple’s engagement photos, which show the two dressed in formal attire in a desert in Apple Valley, California. Bow was dressed in a tuxedo, sans jacket, with a bow tie, while Erica wore an off-white lace dress with a sweetheart neckline.
“I let her spearhead the engagement pictures,” Bow Wow said. “They say it’s best to just say ‘yea’ to everything!”
The two, who reunited after Erica made an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park last February, plan to walk down the aisle in April.
Erica is currently starring in VH1’s Love & Hip Hop, which airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
