Following a performance last week in Mississippi in which he became winded and had to leave the stage, Bobby Brown has announced that he will no longer continue the New Edition tour citing medical reasons.
TMZ reports that Brown needs “an intrusive medical procedure,” which will require him to be under the care of his doctor. Although it’s unclear what the singer is suffering from, it won’t be possible for him to continue the outing.
“I apologize to the fans of New Edition,” the site quotes Brown as saying in a statement. “I really wanted to be with my brothers, but presently I am unable to give the fans what they typically expect from New Edition.”
Brown had seemed excited to hit the road with his band mates. “ALL SiXTouR!!! NE4LIFE!!!! Letsssss Go!!!!” he tweeted last month.
