Beyonce has reached another milestone with her latest self-titled album, which arrived last December without any marketing or prior release date announcement.
The singer’s set has been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America after it surpassed two million in sales in the U.S., where the album has sold 2,003,000 copies to date. The collection, which spawned the platinum-selling single “Drunk in Love” with Jay Z, has also surpassed the U.S. sales of Bey’s last album 4, which currently stands at 1.4 million copies sold.
Alongside her husband, the singer is currently traveling the U.S. for her On the Run Tour, which will arrive in Philadelphia on July 5.
