Taylor Hill/FilmMagicFollowing Diddy’s recent announcement that he’s retiring from music, BET is paying tribute to the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO.
The BET Life of …Diddy will premiere Tuesday May 17 as the first episode in season two of the docu-series, The BET Life Of….. The program will trace the career of Diddy, born Sean Combs, from his beginning as an intern working with Uptown Records to founding Bad Boy and launching his many brands, including Sean John fashions. In the show, Combs will reminisce about his most memorable appearances on BET, including Teen Summit, 106 & Park, and The BET Awards.
Following The BET Life of Diddy at 7 p.m. BET will premiere its new series, Inside the Label, at 8 pm. Co-produced by Ludacris, the eight-episode series will explore the rise of several hip-hop and R&B record companies, featuring commentary from Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, Babyface, Teddy Riley, and Russell Simmons.
