August Alsina has released the trailer for his sophomore album, This Thing Called Life, due out December 11.
In the clip, posted on YouTube, Aug tosses and turns in bed as his inner voice narrates what’s racing through his mind. “This thing called life is a b****, man. Sometimes I talk to myself, trying to figure it out,” he says. “I gotta do better, I gotta do more.”
As the trailer closes with a taste of new music, August then asks himself a series of questions: “Who put me here? What is life? Why am I here? What’s next?”
August’s sophomore album will include his latest single, “Song Cry,” produced by Brandon “Bam” Hodges. The set will serve as the follow-up to Alsina’s 2014 debut, Testimony.
