The independent singer, who recently released her Braveheart album via her Written Entertainment label, addressed ongoing rumors that she might sign with Birdman‘s Young Money/Cash Money Records, which features Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake and many more on its roster.
“There were a lot of conversations,” she says in an interview with VladTV. “I spoke to [Birdman] a lot, we were working on some stuff. I spoke to Wayne a lot, I’m speaking to Wayne now actually.”
Without going into detail, she hints that everything needs to align properly if she does decide to join Young Money. “I think its really important to be very careful with your business, especially nowadays,” she says. “Timing plays a lot into making moves and strategically just aligning everything. So we’ve had a lot of conversations.”
Interestingly enough, the news comes after Wayne and Tyga publicly expressed their frustrations with Young Money late last year. In fact, Wayne even threatened to leave the label after it delayed the release of his long-awaited album Tha Carter V, originally due in December.
