Last week, Kanye West hinted during several interviews that he inked a deal with Adidas. Now, the sneaker giant has officially confirmed its new partnership with West.
According to Billboard, the rapper will launch a clothing line with the brand, scheduled to be released early next year. “For 2014, we welcome to the Adidas family one of the most influential cultural icons of this generation, Kanye West,” the site quotes a statement from Adidas. “Well known for breaking boundaries across music, film and design and partnering with our history in street wear culture and leading innovations in sport, we look forward to creating a new chapter. Details to follow.”
The New York Post reported last week that Kanye signed a deal for $10 million dollars with Adidas, however, it is unclear if that figure is accurate.
