50 Cent Apologizes to Autistic Teen After Public Outrage

ABC/Fred Lee50 Cent  officially has made amends to the family of Andrew Farrell after posting a video on social media that made fun of the 19-year old autistic teen.

50 issued the apology on Tuesday evening in a statement to the New York Daily News.

“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man. It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family,” he said.

A video in which the rapper mocks Farrell, initially was posted on the rapper’s Instagram and Twitter accounts but has since been deleted. However the footage was posted to YouTube, where has garnered nearly two million views as of Wednesday afternoon.

Outraged by the footage, the parents of Andrew Farrell issued a statement regarding the rapper’s behavior and were reportedly looking to sue the 50 if he didn’t apologize.
